Ukraine, named the most mined country in the world

According to estimates, Ukraine is the most mined country in the world. Due to the hostilities, more than 40% of the country’s territory was found to be mined. The detected minefields include anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, booby traps, tripwires, cluster munitions and a large number of shells.
Ця ситуація призводить до серйозних наслідків для мешканців України, зокрема до чисельних жертв і поранених. According to the data, from February 22, 2022, to January 10, 2023, at least 611 people were injured by mines in Ukraine. Between 2014 and 2020, 1190 such incidents were recorded.
This also affects the country’s economy, in particular agriculture, which is one of the main sectors of Ukraine’s economy. Mines and other explosive ordnance cause serious problems for agricultural enterprises that cannot safely use their fields, threatening the country’s food security.
We call for global cooperation and assistance in solving this complex problem. All necessary measures should be taken to dispose of mines and other explosives on the territory of Ukraine to ensure safety for the residents and the recovery of the country’s economy
"Ukraine currently has the largest minefield in the world. This not only hampers the movement of people, but also causes serious disruptions in agriculture, which is one of our main industries."

Project on the development of demining equipment by our team
According to the map, the most dangerous zones are located in Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Donetsk regions, as well as in the eastern part of Kyiv region. Several “red” locations were noted near Cherkasy, Kremenchuk, Bila Tserkva, Kryvyi Rih, Poltava, and Uman.

Our team of volunteers has developed a device that helps sappers neutralize mines and other explosives. Our device is equipped with advanced technologies that allow you to quickly and efficiently detect dangerous objects and safely dispose of them.
We deeply understand how dangerous and difficult the work of sappers is, so we created a robot to make their tasks easier and protect their lives. Our team has been working on this project for many months, and we are very proud of the result of our work.
We are confident that our robot will become a valuable tool for deminers, helping them to quickly and safely defuse explosives and contributing to improving safety in the field. We will continue to work on improving our device and are ready to make it available for use by everyone who cares about the safety of our military.
We would like to thank the reconnaissance and demining engineering team for their cooperation, advice and active participation in the development of much-needed demining equipment. Your knowledge and experience were extremely useful for our team and helped us to create a reliable demining assistant
